A young enlisted sailor works with dogged determination to achieve his dream and become a commissioned officer—but is thrown into the unfamiliar world of the Silent Service. Immediately told he does not belong at his new command and likely will never be qualified, he must make a choice: comply with orders and walk away or dig deep and stand firm.
